Art in Salida: Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center
I'm honored to announce that my work has been selected for display at the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) in Salida, Colorado. The exhibition runs October 1 through December 31, 2026, and will be on view in the public spaces of the medical facility at 1000 Rush Drive, Salida, CO 81201.
Being chosen for this exhibit holds a special kind of meaning. Art displayed in a medical setting does more than decorate a wall — it offers comfort, contemplation, and a moment of beauty to patients, families, and healthcare workers navigating some of life's most challenging moments. To have my work present in that space, offering a quiet breath of the Colorado landscape or a pause from the weight of the day, is a privilege I don't take lightly.
The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is committed to supporting local and regional artists by providing a public venue for visual art exhibitions, rotating approximately every three months. The program reflects HRRMC's belief that access to art is an integral part of a healing environment — and that the surrounding mountain communities of Chaffee County are rich with artistic talent worthy of a prominent platform. Selected works also have the opportunity to be considered for the hospital's permanent collection, making this program a meaningful investment in both artists and the community.
Salida itself is a gem of Colorado's arts scene, nestled in the Arkansas River Valley surrounded by the stunning peaks of the Sawatch Range. Known for its thriving creative community and the beloved Salida Art Walk, the city has long embraced art as central to its identity. Exhibiting here feels like a natural homecoming for work rooted in the beauty of the Colorado high country.
