The joy of a bright summer day.
Chatauqua Park in Boulder has been a refuge for me since I first landed in Colorado in 1990. For nearly a decade I walked the same trail while I was in graduate school, letting the quiet treed trail find my footing again while my psychology studies did their work.
After I started painting again, I found any excuse to capture these mountains that witnessed my growth.
This piece inspired by one of those iconic Boulder Blue summer days, when the wildflowers run wild in the vibrant green lawn.
Oil painting on canvas on gatorboard, framed in a traditional gilded frame.
This piece measures 24x36” / 31x43” framed.
Original artwork, signed by the artist.
